ROLE CONTEXT
Our client, a growth-stage retail brand, is expanding its brand presence and community in the U.S. through authentic storytelling and real connections, both online and on the ground. Their social platforms and influencer collaborations are key to building brand love across tradespeople, creators, athletes, and fans.
They need an Organic Social & Influencer Manager who can own their social channels and creator relationships end to end, blending creative storytelling with structure, consistency, and measurable results.
This role will be responsible for growing their account followers, organic social strategy, content planning, influencer collaborations, and community engagement, ensuring the brand shows up authentically across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
The position will collaborate closely with Performance Marketing, Brand Partnerships, E-Commerce, and PR teams to ensure every social and creator activation ladders up to broader brand goals.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Organic Social & Influencer Manager will:
• Own the organic social strategy and execution across all key platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).
• Grow follower count and engagement through consistent storytelling, creator collaborations, and community-first content.
• Plan, brief, and coordinate content calendars, ensuring clear alignment with brand moments, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
• Manage influencer and creator collaborations, from outreach to negotiation, briefing, content approval, and reporting.
• Support partnership and sponsorship activations through influencer content and organic amplification.
• Monitor and engage with the community, responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in brand voice.
• Collaborate with creative and design teams to ensure content is on-brand, relevant, and platform-optimized.
• Track and report on engagement, growth, sentiment, and content performance to continuously improve the approach.
• Maintain an influencer database and performance tracker to identify high-performing creators, strengthen relationships, and optimize spend.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate is:
• Experienced (3–5 years) in social media management and influencer marketing, ideally for a consumer, lifestyle, or apparel brand.
• Deeply familiar with TikTok and Instagram trends, creator ecosystems, and engagement strategies.
• Proven at growing social audiences and boosting engagement across TikTok and Instagram.
• Confident managing influencer partnerships, including briefs, negotiations, and reporting.
• A strong communicator and creative thinker, able to turn product launches or brand moments into compelling, shareable stories.
• Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable balancing planning with quick, reactive content posting.
• Organized and data-literate, able to measure performance, interpret analytics, and adjust accordingly.
• Collaborative and capable of working across teams (Marketing, Brand Partnerships, E-Commerce, PR).
• Passionate about maker, trade, and performance culture, or eager to learn it deeply.
WHAT THE ROLE IS NOT
• Not a paid media role—this position focuses on organic social and influencer relationships, not performance ad buying.
• Not a corporate communications position—the tone is authentic, human, and culturally fluent, not overly polished or scripted.
• Not a content creator-only role—while creative input is expected, this person will manage others creating content, not be the primary on-camera face.
• Not an event logistics role—this is about digital amplification, not operational event coordination.
• Not purely strategic—hands-on posting, engagement, and creator relationship management are core parts of the day-to-day.
SUCCESS IN ROLE LOOKS LIKE
• Social channels show steady growth in followers, engagement rate, and reach, with clear evidence of improved brand sentiment.
• Influencer and creator collaborations deliver measurable visibility, content quality, and positive community response.
• Campaigns and sponsorships are amplified organically through social storytelling and influencer participation.
• The brand is consistently present in relevant social conversations, both in the trades community and adjacent cultural spaces (sports, country, lifestyle).
• Reporting dashboards and content calendars are maintained and reviewed regularly, enabling clear alignment with leadership and brand teams.
• The brand voice becomes recognizable, relatable, and consistent across all channels.
• A vibrant, loyal follower community that reflects the brand's values of respect, loyalty, and fairness.
WORKING STYLE
• Creative yet structured, able to move between idea generation and disciplined execution.
• Creative and metrics-driven, balances storytelling instinct with accountability for follower and engagement goals.
• Agile and responsive, thrives in fast-moving environments and reacts quickly to trends or brand moments.
• Community-minded, sees social not as broadcasting, but as building relationships.
• Collaborative, works cross-functionally and shares insights transparently with the team.
• Organized and structured, with a consistent rhythm for planning, posting, and reporting.
• Curious and culturally plugged-in, keeps a finger on what's relevant in trades, sports, country music, and lifestyle.
• Ownership mentality, takes pride in both the creative and the results.
• Authentic storyteller, understands that real, relatable content builds connection more than polish ever will.
